Fernando Durán Summit Speaker

Fernando Durán is CIO and Information Systems and Services Director of General Motors Mexico. Mr. Duran began his information technology career in the banking industry in Mexico City during the early '70s while attending the University del Valle de Mexico, where he achieved a degree in Industrial Engineering. After 10 years in banking, Mr. Duran joined Ford Motor Company and worked in executive positions in Information Technology, Operational Excellence and Manufacturing in Mexico, Spain, and the US for 21 years. Mr. Duran, who is a practitioner of lean applied to the enterprise, was a Board Member of the Cisne Corporation and LeanExperts.com, two startup companies specializing in consulting and e-business. He has also been a professor at the distinguished Monterrey Institute of Technology in Mexico.
