Web 2.0 and Enterprise 2.0: How They Are the Same, How They Are Different, and How They Will Impact the Enterprise

The need for communication and information exchange led to the first attempts to connect computers over a network. Later the network of networks, the Internet, brought more attractive elements of communication: fonts, color, pictures, video, and audio. The first Web sites were related to big organizations -- world-class enterprises and universities -- and functioned something like an advertisement or a storefront.
