Coro Strandberg
Coro Strandberg is President of Strandberg Consulting and an influential social purpose, sustainability, and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) strategist and thought leader. She has over 30 years’ experience working with boards, businesses, governments, and industry associations in Canada to create strategies that solve society’s problems and address social and environmental risks and opportunities that propel society toward a sustainable future. Ms. Strandberg is cofounder and Chair of the Canadian Purpose Economy Project, an initiative to accelerate progress toward the purpose economy, where the purpose of business is to create a better world. She has 25 years’ experience as Corporate Director and is on the board of BCLC, where she chairs its governance committee. Ms. Strandberg is a faculty member for Governance Professionals of Canada and Director’s College, training governance professionals and directors on purpose and sustainability governance oversight, respectively. She is a member of the Canadian Standards Association’s sustainability advisory committee and the Canadian Office of the Auditor General’s Commissioner of Environment and Sustainability’s advisory committee. Ms. Strandberg was named the top sustainability consultant in Canada in 2015 by Canada’s Clean50, and she is the recipient of the 2024 Joyce Borden-Reed Distinguished Contribution Award by Governance Professionals of Canada for her excellence in the field of governance in Canada.
