Ian Stavros
Ian Stavros is an expert in Web-enabled distributed database systems (DDS) and is one of the youngest members of the Object Management Group (OMG). Recently, he was a principal in a Phase 1 DARPA SBIR, investigating the use of blockchain technologies within the government, which resulted in OMG’s Distributed Immutable Data Objects (DIDO) Reference Architecture. Mr. Stavros was instrumental in the investigation and development for a proof of concept (POC) on a standardized DDS API and a POC for a working environment built around DDS that supports real-time collaborative editing of forms and other formal documents. He holds a master’s degree in bioinformatics from Oregon Health and Science University and bachelor of science degrees in biology and computer science from West Virginia University.
