Michael Obal
Michael Obal is Assistant Professor of Marketing in the Manning School of Business at the University of Massachusetts, Lowell; Chair of the Undergraduate Program Committee for the Manning School; and a former e-board member at M2D2. Dr. Obal’s research focuses on technology marketing, new products and innovation, e-commerce, and the business-to-business market segment. He has been published in Journal of Product Innovation Management, Research Policy, Industrial Marketing Management, Journal of Business Research, and Journal of Service Management. Previously, Dr. Obal was as an online/search marketing consultant at iProspect/Aegis Media, a District Sales Manager at the Boston Beer Company, and Director for the Community Center for Entrepreneurship, Bunker Hill Community College. He received a PhD from Temple University; an MBA from the University of Massachusetts, Boston; and a bachelor’s of science degree from Syracuse University, all within the field of marketing.
