Nelly Leligou
Nelly Leligou is Assistant Professor at the University of West Attica (UniWA, Greece). Previously, she was Associate Professor at the Technological Educational Institute of Sterea Ellada (TEISTE, Greece). Her research interests focus on information and communication technologies, including routing protocols and trust management in wireless sensor networks; control plane technologies in broadband networks, including HFC, PON, WDM metro, and core networks; and industrial, embedded, and network system design and development. Currently, Ms. Leligou is working on blockchain technologies, Internet of Things–enabled systems, and gamification for various application sectors, such as social innovation, education, and participatory approaches. She is the scientific coordinator of the EU-funded H2020-ASSET project; has participated in several EU-funded ACTS, IST, ICT, and H2020 research projects; and acts as evaluator for H2020 proposals. Ms. Leligou's research results have been published in more than 100 scientific journals and conferences. She is also a visiting professor at the Hellenic Open University.
