Ricardo Blacio
J. Ricardo Rendón Blacio is CEO of Rendon y Asociados and is focused on helping businesses transform through IT. His clients have included some of the largest Mexican enterprises. From 1983 - 2004, Mr. Rendón was CIO of Hylsamex, producer of iron and steel, where he gained international recognition for leading the first successful implementation of SAP R3 in Latin America and for innovating IT management processes and practices. In addition, Mr. Rendón orchestrated the first IT infrastructure outsourcing arrangement in the region.
Since 1981, Mr. Rendón has been a professor in the Information Technology Masters of Administration program at ITESM in Mexico. He has been also professor at the Independent University in Nuevo Leon, Mexico, Catholic University of Guayaquil, Ecuador and University of Guayaquil, Ecuador. He also contributed to the computer sciences programs at the Regiomontana University and the Independent University Nuevo Leon in Mexico.
Mr. Rendón has played a large role in many associations and organizations. He is founding partner, president advisor, and ex-president of Mexican Association of Graduates in IT (AMPI); past president of the Technical Committee of the Mexican Institute of Finance Executives (IMEF); a member of the Mexican Association of Professionals in Computer Science; founding partner and advisor of the Association of Auditors in IT (ISACA-AMAI); and he is the former president of the Association of SAP Users (ASUG) in Mexico and Central America.
