Ricardo Pérez Castillo
Ricardo Pérez-Castillo is Senior Researcher at the Alarcos Research Group, University of Castilla-La Mancha, Spain, and a faculty member in the Faculty of Social Sciences and Information Technology of Talavera de la Reina, Spain. Since 2018, he has been involved with the aQuantum Joint Research Unit, a collaborative initiative between Alhambra IT and the University of Castilla–La Mancha, Spain. Dr. Perez-Castillo’s research career spans numerous national and international projects, including collaborations with the University of Innsbruck, Austria; University of Bari, Italy; Complutense of Madrid, Spain; University of La Laguna, Spain, among others. His research focuses on software modernization and the reengineering of legacy information systems, with a growing interest in the development of hybrid classical-quantum systems. Dr. Pérez-Castillo’s contributions to quantum software engineering and technological innovation have been instrumental in advancing the field. His work bridges academia and industry, having collaborated with several consultancy firms in Germany and Spain, where he has engaged in technology transfer and applied innovation projects. Dr. Pérez-Castillo is actively involved in organizing international workshops and delivering keynote speeches at major conferences. He is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
