Winfried Heusler is Honorary Professor at Detmold School of Design, Germany, and Lecturer at Technical University of Munich (TUM), Germany, where he specializes in digital innovation and sustainability within façade design and construction. For 25 years, Dr. Heusler worked for the international construction company Schüco, first as Technical Director and then as Senior VP of Engineering Projects. During his tenure, he oversaw significant projects, including the Al Tijaria Tower in Kuwait. Since 2014, Dr. Heusler has served as Senior VP of Building Excellence and as Technical Ambassador for Schüco. Previously, he worked for the façade construction company Gartner, responsible for high-rise projects such as the Jin Mao Tower in Shanghai, China. Dr. Heusler earned a master’s degree in mechanical engineering at TUM and a PhD from Technical University (TU) Berlin, Germany, for his thesis on “daylight.” He can be reached at winheusler@web.de.
