It isn’t uncommon to see a digital transformation, an Agile transformation, a DevOps transformation, and a customer experience transformation all running in parallel. The articles in this issue of Cutter Business Technology Journal were selected to challenge mindsets and prompt readers to inspect their existing beliefs, listen for new insights and reflect on their own behaviors and those of their organization, to discover ways to work together across historical silos and dramatically accelerate change.
The transformation to a digital age company cannot be accomplished using methods from the old age. This is one of the hardest aspects of a successful digital transformation effort: it cannot be a project or initiative. It must be a focused journey of creating and sustaining new capabilities. The transition must be led and exemplified by the senior management, not delegated into any existing silo or role.
