James S. Denford is an Associate Professor of MIS and the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities at the Royal Military College of Canada (RMC). He joined the academic community after a 20-year career as a Canadian Army Signals Officer, with experience in IS training and leadership, simulation systems, network management, and IS development. Dr. Denford studies IT governance, knowledge strategy, strategic alignment, innovation, and IS leadership. He has published his research in leading IS and knowledge management journals, conferences, and books. Dr. Denford holds a PhD in management from Queen’s University, Canada, and an MBA and BEng in engineering management from RMC.
