Klaus Meyer
Klaus Meyer is Professor of International Business and the William G. Davis Chair in International Trade at Ivey Business School, Canada. He is a leading scholar in international business, focusing on the strategies and operations of multinational enterprises in and from emerging economies. Dr. Meyer’s research emphasizes the contextual boundaries of theories of management. Previously, he spent six years at China Europe International Business School, where he was the Philips Chair and Professor of Strategy and International Business. Dr. Meyer has also served as a faculty member at Copenhagen Business School, Denmark; the University of Bath, UK; and the University of Reading, UK; and he has held visiting appointments at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and at National Cheng-chi University, Taiwan. Dr. Meyer has published over 90 articles in leading scholarly journals, including Journal of International Business Studies, Strategic Management Journal, and Journal of Management Studies, and has authored nine books, including International Business and Oxford Handbook of Management in Emerging Markets. He is a Fellow of the Academy of International Business and served as VP and conference chair. Dr. Meyer was awarded the Journal of International Business Studies’ Decade Award.
