Martin Cagan is chief technology officer at Continuus Software Corporation. Continuus Software provides integrated change and software configuration management systems for Windows- and Unix-based development teams.

Mr. Cagan began his career at Hewlett-Packard Laboratories in Palo Alto, California, where he did research on integrated software development environments. He was a technical lead on HP's first product in the artificial intelligence market, and later research led to more general software environment projects, including leading the development of the SoftBench development environment.

From HP, Mr. Cagan joined Interactive Development Environments in San Francisco to manage its integrated environments efforts. There he led the development of the C Development Environment product. He joined Continuus Software Corporation in Irvine, California, five years ago.
