Peter Hruschka
Peter Hruschka is a Principal of the Atlantic Systems Guild. As a trainer and consultant, he concentrates on business analysis, requirements engineering, and system and software architectures, preferably in the embedded world. Mr. Hruschka loves to be involved in developing products that combine software with hardware, electrical, and mechanical components – thus creating interesting systems in domains like medical systems, automotive, telecommunications, manufacturing, and others. He is cofounder of arc42, a portal for practical and pragmatic hints for software architecture documentation and development; founder of req42, the home of pragmatic requirements engineering in an Agile environment; and founding member of the International Requirements Engineering Board (IREB) and the International Software Architecture Qualification Board (iSAQB). Mr. Hruschka is the coauthor of many books and papers on software engineering, including Business Analysis and Requirements Engineering and Communicating Software Architectures – Lean, Effective and Painless Documentation. He is also coauthor with Cutter Fellows Tom DeMarco and Tim Lister, Cutter Consortium Senior Consultants James and Suzanne Robertson, Peter Hruschka, and Steve McMenamin of the 2009 Jolt Award winner, Adrenaline Junkies and Template Zombies: Understanding Patterns of Project Behavior. He earned a master’s degree and PhD in computer science from the Technical University of Vienna, Italy.
