Robert “Nick” Stavros has almost 50 years’ experience in the computer science domain, applying his skills to teaching, creating, designing, and maintaining databases for private industry and government projects in building centralized, decentralized, and distributed systems. Dr. Stavros is familiar with taxonomy, semantics, and ontologies, and has been an active member of the Object Management Group (OMG) for 15 years. He holds a bachelor of science degree in botany and plant pathology from Colorado State University and a master’s of science degree and PhD in environmental sciences and engineering from Virginia Tech.
