Frank Werner
Frank Werner is Director of World Environment Center’s (WEC) Global Thought Leadership Program, where he organizes executive roundtables in partnership with global companies, focusing on critical corporate sustainability challenges across the US, Europe, and other regions. Mr. Werner leads WEC’s European office, facilitating sustainability information exchanges among multinational companies and providing guidance on creating both societal and corporate value. He has also contributed to WEC’s capacity-building programs, where he supported midsized companies in developing sustainability strategies and improving their sustainability performance. Previously, Mr. Werner worked in the area of corporate responsibility, advising global companies on sustainability reporting and evaluating the sustainability performance of leading global organizations. He also has experience in sustainable water management and research in both Germany and Chile. Mr. Werner has authored several publications in the fields of sustainable water management, environmental business strategies, and sustainability reporting. He earned a master’s-equivalent diploma in geography from the University of Heidelberg. He can be reached at fwerner@wec.org.
