
Gretchen Reydams Schils
Gretchen Reydams-Schils is Professor in the Program of Liberal Studies at the University of Notre Dame and holds concurrent appointments in Classics, Philosophy, and Theology. Dr. Reydams-Schils specializes in Greek and Roman philosophy and is known for her work on the social ethics of the Stoics. She is the author of The Roman Stoics: Self, Responsibility, and Affection and is a 2024 Guggenheim Fellow. Dr. Reydams-Schils earned a PhD from the University of California, Berkeley.
