Jimmy Schwarzkopf Director, Cutter Consortium Israel

Jimmy Schwarzkopf is the director of Cutter Consortium Israel, a Senior Consultant with Cutter Consortium's Business Technology Strategies practice and Research Manager with Cutter's Israeli partner, Schwarzkopf The Knowledge Integrators (STKI). For the last 28 years, Jimmy has worked in all areas of computer information services: he served as Research Manager of META Group Israel and was named a META Group Research Fellow; a consultant in Arthur Andersen Consulting (USA), a consultant with Kesselman & Kesselman; a systems professional in SCS Computers and with the R&D Unit of the Israel Defense Forces; and a sales and marketing professional with Digital Equipment Corporation. Dr. Schwarzkopf has taught in the MIS department at Ben Gurion University and the Computer School of the IDF.

Jimmy holds a BSE and an MSE in Systems Engineering from the University of Central Florida, where his thesis was on distributed computer systems. He earned an MSIA in information systems, and was in the PhD program at Carnegie Mellon University, where he twice earned the William Larimer Mellon Scholarship/Award. At CMU, his thesis studied file allocation techniques in distributed computer networks. Schwarzkopf graduated in 1981 from the Israel Defense Forces' School of Staff and Command. He is currently completing the doctoral program in management (2007) at Case Western Reserve University.

Schwarzkopf has served on the Board of Directors of Ashot Ashkelon (Israel Military Industries) and as President of the Gymnazia Herzelia Association. He was co-founder of the Mashov Political Movement and member of the Central Committee of the Labor Party. A Major (Rav-Seren) in the reserves, Jimmy served in the elite Sayeret Egoz unit of the Israel Defense Forces and later in the R&D unit. He is a registered engineer (IS22881) and a member of MENSA Israel.
