Luis del Barrio Castro is a Partner at Arthur D. Little (ADL) and leads ADL’s Energy & Utilities practice in Iberia. He has 17+ years’ experience in the energy sector and currently focuses on gas/liquefied natural gas, particularly the transition toward renewable gases, biofuels, and energy storage, along the three pillars of decarbonization, digitalization, and decentralization. Prior to ADL, Mr. del Barrio Castro held pivotal roles at strategic consulting firms, namely Monitor Deloitte and Boston Consulting Group. He embarked on his professional journey by overseeing thermal power plants at ENGIE. Mr. del Barrio Castro also has played a pivotal role in the development and regulation of the energy industry through his active engagement with the National Commission on Markets and Competition (CNMC).
