Michael Messenger is President and CEO of World Vision Canada, one of the nation’s largest charities supporting children and communities worldwide through humanitarian relief, development, and advocacy. He has held governance as well as senior leadership roles for both the Canadian and worldwide organization for more than 30 years. Mr. Messenger travels extensively, often to some of the world’s most challenging regions, where he engages directly with program participants, shares impactful stories with supporters, and advocates for policy and justice initiatives with government leaders, the UN, churches, and NGO partners. Previously a partner at a major law firm, he led a broad litigation practice and served as chief counsel for a prominent public inquiry into youth criminal justice. Mr. Messenger earned degrees in economics, law, and business, including an MBA from Ivey Business School, Canada, where he is a sessional lecturer in the executive MBA program.
