Vincent Schiavone
Vincent J. Schiavone is a former Cutter Consortium Senior Consultant. He is also Managing Partner and cofounder of The Acentio Group. A 25-year technology industry veteran, Vincent has extensive operating, technology strategy, business development and marketing experience.
Previously, Vincent founded the ePrivacy Group, LLC, a privacy consulting and services company and trusted email technology incubator. At ePrivacy Group Vincent lead the development of the framework and technology for the Trusted Sender program, and TEOS (Trusted Email Open Standard) as well as SpamSquelcher, (which became the TurnTide Anti-Spam Router). Clients at ePrivacy Group included the Federal Trade Commission, Microsoft, EarthLink, Comcast, Aventis, and Pfizer. Prior to ePrivacy Group Vincent co-founded InfoSec Labs, a boutique security consulting and training company providing assessments, penetration testing and strategy for its global clients, including American Express, the NYSE, Merck Medco, Xerox and ATTWireless.
As founder, Board Member and the Chief Strategy Officer at TurnTide, Vincent drove the acquisition by Symantec (SYMC). Vincent holds a US Patent for his work at ePrivacy Group and TurnTide.
Vincent is a serial entrepreneur and investor. His current investments include CyberPatrol, where he sits on the Board of Directors of this provider of parental control software; he is an investor in and advisor to DataMotion, focused on secure, intelligent information transport; Paradigm Spine, a provider of non-fusion and fusion spinal implant solutions; and other organizations.
Vincent is Founding Board Member (past) of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP); he is coauthor of Trusted Email Open Standard (TEOS) which he presented at the US Federal Trade Commission Spam Conference; he is a past Advisory Board Member of both ISPCON and the InBox email industry conference.
