Tom Butler is a Professor in the Department of Business Information Systems at University College Cork (UCC), Ireland. He has over 200 publications in leading IS journals and conferences and a range of other outlets. Dr. Butler has been awarded more than US $9.5 million in research funding and has several technology innovations to his name. He is a global thought leader in regtech and a member of the expert group on fintech innovation for the European Union’s Directorate-General for Financial Stability, Financial Services and Capital Markets Union.
