Giti Javidi is an Assistant Professor of information technology at the University of South Florida, Sarasota-Manatee. She has over 15 years’ experience conducting research and providing consulting in human computer interaction and its intersection with cybersecurity, data visualization, and data analytics. Dr. Javidi has written for many publications and has been awarded several research grants, including projects with NASA, the National Science Foundation, Google, National Center for Women & Information Technology, and industry partners. A long-time advocate for increasing participation and retention of women and minorities in the IT workforce, she has worked tirelessly on a number of projects in this domain for many years. She can be reached at javidi@sar.usf.edu.
