John Buck is President of the consultancy GovernanceAlive, LLC. He has conducted many training workshops and Sociocracy, and now BOSSA nova — Beyond Budgeting (B), Open Space (OS), Sociocracy (S), and Agile (A) — implementation projects for a variety of organizations. His clients span the globe and include plastics manufacturers, colleges and universities, long-term care facilities, cohousing groups, NGOs, and software companies. He has extensive management experience with governments and corporations, including managing large information technology projects. Currently, Mr. Buck is working with Fujitsu’s advanced software lab to develop Weaver, software that helps meetings go better – in person, online, and asynchronously. He is the coauthor (with Jutta Eckstein) of the book Company-wide Agility with Beyond Budgeting, Open Space & Sociocracy: Survive & Thrive on Disruption and coauthor (with Sharon Villine) of We the People: Consentingto a Deeper Democracy.
