Brett Oakleaf is Strategic Partnership Manager at National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), where he leads the lab’s sustainable aviation initiative and aviation collaborations. He has more than 25 years’ experience in the energy industry across a broad range of roles. Previously, Mr. Oakleaf served as Director of Business Development at Invenergy, focusing on project management and environmental impacts and permitting and serving as a front-end design engineering consultant. He also managed resource planning at Xcel Energy, where he developed long-term resource acquisition plans for several states and oversaw resource selection, contract negotiations, and development/construction interfaces.
