Dan Salas

Dan Salas is Director of the Sustainable Landscapes Program at the University of Illinois Chicago’s Energy Resources Center, where he leads a team focused on the integration of biodiversity and infrastructure. The program facilitates the Rights-of-Way as Habitat Working Group, driving key initiatives such as the nationwide Monarch Candidate Conservation Agreement with Assurances, the Nationwide Agreement for At-Risk Bumble Bees, research and tools for pollinator habitat on utility-scale solar projects, and other industry collaborations. He is a Certified Senior Ecologist and a Certified Decision Analyst. He can be reached at dsalas4@uic.edu.
