Maxwell Hughes
Dr. Maxwell Hughes is a Research Professor at Drexel University, where he teaches and consults on the management of IT, and on business process analysis and simulation. This follows a 33-year career with Pfizer Inc. Dr. Hughes introduced computing into Pfizer's research division. As Vice President, Administration for Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, he managed the establishment of all the staff functions: finance, systems, planning, acquisitions and HR. Dr. Hughes established, and was the first general manager of, Pfizer Medical Systems, which developed and marketed CT scanners worldwide. He currently applies simulation techniques to business problems, including the alignment of IT with business, and measuring the impact of IT on business.
