Keith Carter

Keith B. Carter is Lead Partner of Technology Strategy at KBC Global Partners, founder of ELKS-AI, University Fellow at IE’s Center for Governance of Change, advisor to fintech Pi-xcels, member of Singapore Institute of Directors, and member of Bretton Woods Committee. He teaches businesses and governments how to leverage emerging technology to improve business results and enhance the lives of their citizens. Mr. Carter has taught at the National University of Singapore (NUS) Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy on AI, privacy, and cybersecurity. He is author of Actionable Intelligence: A Guide to Delivering Business Results with Big Data, Fast! and contributing author of Leading with IT: Lessons from Singapore's First CIO by Alex Siow. Mr. Carter received a university award for teaching as Associate Professor, NUS School of Computing; was founding Director of NUS Ripple FinTech Lab; and founding Co-Director of Crystal Centre, a deep-tech research center. He also created the NUS FinTech Society, a recognized mid-career conversion program. Prior to academia, Mr. Carter worked at Estee Lauder, leading improvements in procurement, supply chain, and competitive intelligence and delivering tangible performance improvements to cost of goods sold and return on invested capital. Prior to that role, he was with Accenture’s (Andersen Consulting’s) Financial Services Advanced Systems Group. Mr. Carter is also a private pilot and certified in counter-terrorism. He earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical computer systems engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a master’s degree from Cornell University.
