Malcolm Fry
Malcolm Fry is a recognized IT industry luminary with over 40 years' experience. Mr. Fry was a member of the ITIL Advisory Group (IAG), which was responsible for overseeing the development and publishing of ITIL V3, plus he was a mentor for the Service Transition book. In 2009 Mr. Fry was awarded the coveted Ron Muns Lifetime Achievement Award for his work in the IT service management (ITSM) arena. Over the last few years, he has authored seven ITIL focus booklets, of which over 100,000 copies are now in circulation. His publications include "A Step-by-Step Guide to Building a CMDB" and "How to Build an ITIL Service Management Department." His latest publication, "ITIL Lite," was released in early 2010. In 2009, Mr. Fry wrote a booklet exploring the role of lean computing in service management and has also authored a booklet on cloud computing and another on FEFO, which explores the ever-changing role of IT.
In 2011, he has been a keynote presenter for the annual Pink Elephant conference in Las Vegas, has managed the executive track for the HDI conference (also in Las Vegas), and will serve in September as joint Master of Ceremonies for the itSMF/HDI Fusion 11 in Washington, DC. Over the last year, he has also given keynote presentations at events in Portugal, Chile, Turkey, Finland, Germany, Switzerland, the UK, France, and the US.
