Murray Scott
Murray Scott is Vice Dean of Internationalization for the College of Business, Public Policy and Law, University of Galway, Ireland. He also served as Head of Discipline for business information systems (BIS) and Program Director for the master of science in BIS/cloud computing research and the bachelor of science in BIS. Dr. Scott has over 18 years’ experience in the academic environment and previously served as Visiting Professor at the Kogod School of Business, American University, and as external examiner for Dublin City University, Ireland. His research has been published in leading international journals and conferences, including AIS College of Senior Scholars’ basket of journals. Dr. Scott’s current research tackles environmental and sustainability challenges by developing innovative, technology-driven models for participatory, user-centered public services, aiming to create greener communities. He earned a master’s degree in English and philosophy from the University of Dundee, UK, and a higher diploma in systems analysis, a master’s degree in commerce, and a PhD in e-government and public value, all from the University of Galway.
