Paul Dewick is Professor of Sustainability in the Department of Strategy, Enterprise and Sustainability, Faculty of Business and Law, Manchester Metropolitan University, UK. Previously, he was Professor of Sustainability and Innovation at Keele University’s Business School, UK, where he also served as Keele Business School Research Director and Deputy Director of Keele’s Institute for Sustainable Futures. Dr. Dewick’s work focuses on the economic, environmental, and social impacts of the circular economy, with a focus on the informal economy and biodiversity. He is currently leading a British Academy–funded project on “understanding processes of formalization and circularity in the Amazon rain forest.” Dr. Dewick is an Honorary Senior Research Fellow at Manchester Institute of Innovation Research and an elected member of the steering committee of Future Earth's Systems of Sustainable Consumption and Production Knowledge-Action Network (SSCP KAN). With Professor Joseph Sarkis (WPI) and Professor Joerg Hofstetter (Kedge), he cochairs SSCP KAN’s working group on the circular economy.
