Cassandra Ellis
Cassandra Ellis is Assistant Professor and former Postdoctoral Associate at Ivey Business School, Western University, Canada. Her current research centers on leader character with a specific focus on character development through various methods like music, improvisation, and mindfulness. Collaborating with others, Dr. Ellis has developed a theory that explains the interconnectedness of our anatomical systems and our ability to control our demonstrative behavior, irrespective of context — the PABCs (physiology, affect, behavior, and cognitive). She also teaches leadership courses in the School of Kinesiology and Society of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies at Western University. Dr. Ellis is a consultant for the Ian O. Ihnatowycz Institute for Leadership at Ivey Business School and helps organizational teams understand leader character and how to develop and embed positive behaviors for sustained excellence and well-being. She earned a PhD in kinesiology at Western University, with a focus on enhancing physical activity’s pleasurable experience by manipulating several variables, specifically music.
