Julio Compean
Dr. Julio César Margáin y Compéan is a Senior Consultant with Cutter's Business Technology Strategies practice. He is former general coordinator of the Ministry of Communication and Transportation's e-México National System. As a consultant he continues to assess Mexico's Ministry of Communication and Transportation.
Dr. Margáin is also a tenured professor at several prominent Mexican universities, including Universidad Nactional Autonoma, where he founded its artificial intelligence laboratory, and IMSS, where he founded the biomathematics and scientific laboratory.
Dr. Margain holds undergraduate degrees in theoretical astrophysics from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma of México and in philosophy from the University of Michigan of the United States. He has received degrees in organizational development from ITAM and in system dynamics from the Sloan School at MIT in the United States. He holds a doctorate in artificial intelligence from MIT. Dr. Margáin has published five books and 20 diverse articles, being part of the Editorial Council of the Total Quality/Fundameca Magazine.
