Marlene Janzen Le Ber

Marlene Janzen Le Ber is Professor of Leadership Studies and Distinguished Chair of the Centre for Leadership at Brescia University College, Canada. As a recipient of multiple research grants in complex leadership processes, her current research spans core topics in leadership such as equity, diversity, inclusion; decolonization of organizational practices; leader character; leader aspirations; leader identity development in women; and policy and social change. Dr. Janzen Le Ber has presented over 90 peer-reviewed conference papers and keynote addresses; published numerous peer-reviewed papers, books, book chapters, and reports; and secured over $1.2 million in research funding. Her publications include the recently edited volume, More Women on Boards: An International Perspective. Dr. Janzen Le Ber teaches a series of five micro credentials in diversity in leadership with courses such as “Navigating Gender Inequities in the Workplace,” “Leading Change Without Resistance,” and “Creating Psychological Safety in Organizations.” Prior to academia, she was a healthcare executive for academic health sciences centers, known as a strategic leader who spearheaded numerous health system innovations. Dr. Janzen Le Ber earned a PhD in strategy from Ivey Business School, Western University, Canada, along with a master of science degree in healthcare administration and a bachelor of science degree in nursing, both from Western University.
