Capers Jones is the VP and CTO of Namcook Analytics LLC, President of Capers Jones & Associates LLC, and the founder and former Chairman of Software Productivity Research (SPR), where he currently holds the title of Chief Scientist Emeritus. Before founding SPR, he was Assistant Director of Programming Technology for the ITT Corporation at the Programming Technology Center. He was also a manager and researcher at IBM. Mr. Jones is a well-known author and international public speaker, and some of his books have been translated into five languages. His recent books include The Economics of Software Quality (coauthored with Olivier Bonsignour); Software Engineering Best Practices; Assessments, Benchmarks, and Best Practices;and Applied Software Measurement.
