Brad Kain Senior Consultant
Brad Kain is a Senior Consultant with Cutter Consortium's Enterprise Architecture Practice and President and co-founder of Quoin, a technology and management consulting services company, specializing in full lifecycle development of enterprise-scale distributed systems.
Mr. Kain is a proven information technology manager with a track record of successful development projects over the last 18 years. He has led large-scale projects as a system architect, project lead, and development manager. His background as an analyst and developer enables a unique ability to broker technical issues with business stakeholders and technologists.
Mr. Kain brings an extensive background in the development of web-based applications in financial services, health care, higher education, customer relationship management, online publishing, life sciences, and other domains. Mr. Kain has participated with the Object Management Group's Technical Committee on the Common Object Request Broker Architecture (CORBA) and in the specification of domain services. A recognized expert on enterprise architecture and project management, he is a frequent speaker at industry conferences, including Software Development and OOPSLA. Cutter Consortium Senior Consultant Brad Kain helped a military organization determine the best way to choose a technology alternative for the current user interface layer of its Java-based command and control IT application. Mr. Kain and the client discussed which approach was best for the client's large and frequently changing application, as well as the best ways for their user interface to communicate with their Geographic Information Systems (GIS) component.
