John Collins is an Adjunct Professor with the University of South Florida, Sarasota-Manatee. He has two decades of software development experience with distributed processing and high-demand applications and a decade of hands-on computing security work, which includes full-system lifecycles from provisioning to decommissioning. His work has involved private and public sector deployment of mission-critical systems, including point of care/point of sale pharmacology systems and leading the reengineering effort of the US Department of Defense Joint Explosive Ordinance Disposal portal as a chief engineer. He can be reached at john.f.collins.iii@gmail.com.
