Raj Sharman
Raj Sharman is a Professor in the Management Science and Systems Department at the University at Buffalo (SUNY Buffalo). His expertise is in the areas of artificial intelligence, patient safety and health IT, information assurance and the use of biologically inspired computer security models, and disaster response management. Dr. Sharman has been published widely in national and international journals and is the recipient of several grants from university and external agencies, including the National Science Foundation. He also served as Director of MS in the management information systems program and as PhD Faculty Adviser for SUNY Buffalo’s Department of Management Science and Systems from 2005 to 2016. Dr. Sharman earned his PhD in computer science and a master of science degree in industrial engineering from Louisiana State University. He received a bachelor’s degree in engineering and a master’s degree in management from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (India). He can be reached at rsharman@buffalo.edu.
